The Alim and Aalimah course is a structured Islamic scholar program covering five core areas alongside continued Quran study: Tajweed (correct recitation), Tafseer (Quranic meaning and commentary), Hadith (the sayings and practice of the Prophet ṭ̇ ‏ﷺ ﷺﺎﻮ‎), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence and rulings), and Arabic (the language needed to engage with primary Islamic texts directly rather than relying only on translation). This is the same structure whether you enrol as Alim or Aalimah — the Aalimah track for sisters covers identical subject matter, taught by a female tutor throughout.

Unlike a single-subject course, Alim and Aalimah study is a long-term commitment, typically structured in stages so each subject builds properly rather than being rushed. Your free trial is used to assess your current level across these areas and plan a realistic starting point, whether you are beginning from scratch or already have a foundation in some subjects.

Alim (for men) and Aalimah (for women) is the traditional title for a certified Islamic scholar, and this course is our structured path toward it. Instead of one subject, you work through a full curriculum, Quran recitation and Tajweed, Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic and Aqeedah, taught in the order that builds correctly on what came before.

Every subject is taught live, one-to-one, by an Ijazah-certified tutor, in English or in Urdu if you would rather study in your own language. Sisters can request a female tutor for the Aalimah track throughout the course. Most students take multiple sessions a week across different subjects, though your tutor can adjust the mix and pace as your priorities change, and nothing about the plan is fixed once you have started.
